The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
As a Shift Maintenance Technician Multiskilled (Electrical Bias), you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
- Carrying out both planned and reactive maintenance to the highest standard to ensure the safe operation of equipment
- To work closely with plant engineering teams to drive reliability and efficiency and to escalate issues as they occur
- Identify gaps and efficiencies in PM schedules
- Compliance to SAP requirements to ensure we develop a full and accurate asset work history
- Good communication skills to ensure smooth day to day requirements and hand over information
- Actively focused for PM compliance and breakdown related actions
- Active involvement in problem solving and root cause analysis to reduce repeat failures
- Actively participate in safety related activities such as near miss reporting and associated corrective actions
- Maintaining awareness of plant and department risk assessments, hazard cards and safe operating procedures closely adhering to risk controls and PPE requirements.
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who must have the following qualifications:
- BTEC, ONC or C&G Technician or equivalent
- Time served and experienced in an Electrical or Multiskilled maintenance role (with electrical bias), including applicable vocational qualifications
- Relevant experience in manufacturing industry
- Experienced in electrical fault finding and problem solving
- knowledge of PLC process control, SCADA and AC and DC drive systems
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
- HNC/ NVQ level 3 or equivalent
- A working knowledge of SAP (CMMS)
Role Location: Atherstone, Warwickshire
Ideal candidate location: Commutable radius to Atherstone
Remuneration
Salary – Up to £47k dependent on experience to include shift allowance plus excellent benefits package and optional additional overtime
Shift – 24/5 Mon to Fri continental 12hr shift pattern.
