The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As an Automation Engineer (*) at Zwijndrecht, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

  • further improve the automated processes of our installations. Error resolving, implementing improvements and developing new software are day to day responsibilities.

  • strong bond with Project Engineering, and you’ll give technical assistance to other departments in order to have a continuous improvement of quality, safety, cost, environment impact on our installations.

  • take the lead in continuous improvement projects by means of proper project management.

Your Skills and Expertise 

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who must have the following qualifications:

  • Master or Bachelor in Electro Mechanical Engineering with a good understanding of process automation.

  • knowledge of various PLC, Scada & DCS systems is desirable, but not a must.

  • an analytical mind and a result-oriented approach are good competencies.

  • knowledge of statistics, safety and environmental techniques is a plus.

  • creative, pro-active, flexible and an independent worker with strong communication skills and able to work in a team.

  • fluent in Dutch and English.

  • strong collaboration with other 3M departments
